Vice President of Investments, Retirement Advisor, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional
What’s the most exciting or rewarding aspect of helping people save for retirement?
I’m helping individuals achieve their goals, something they most likely couldn’t do on their own. It’s exciting to see them realize that financial independence is a possibility.
Do you have a favorite client success story to share?
Many. I enjoy helping clients get their complete financial houses in order. That could include advising them on insurance, college planning, retirement savings, and emergency savings and more. When we finally get through it all, I like to listen to them talk about how happy they are about finally being financially organized.
Can you share a favorite kernel of wisdom for those just starting to invest and save?
I wouldn’t say it’s wisdom but “just get started”. We understand that like most things in life it’s easy to put off. Sometimes it’s hard to get started with putting money away for the future when you need it now and that is where we help. We help people get started, get organized and eventually help them save more. It’s one reason our clients tend to contribute more than the national average.
What would surprise us to learn about you?
I used to be a high school substitute science teacher.
What are your personal interests and passions?
My family, especially my wife Amy. I like cooking and anything sports related, especially going to Orioles games at Camden Yards.
